Abandoning the Poles and Slavs?
The International Herald Tribune reports that the Czechs are nervous about Obama's proposal to cancel the installation of missile defense bases in the country. As of yet, they aren't saying anything, but the silence contrasts with the signals coming from Poland. Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski is OK with the deal, provided that the US maintains its commitment to build an airbase for Patriot fighter planes.
